An Evening to Prevail

Sailing and prevailing

on the water and in life…

Since inception, Sail To Prevail has impacted the lives of over 21,000 children, adults and their families providing them with the lessons to not only sail one of the fleet of specially designed Independence 20 sailboats through Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay, but to provide them with the skills and tools to navigate through life. The Sail To Prevail program was created to offer a way to build confidence, achieve goals, build teamwork, and experience the freedom and joy of being on the water – a shining example of inclusiveness in Newport’s rich sailing heritage.

Sailing is a great equalizer…

The Sail To Prevail therapeutic sailing program offers participants an opportunity to leave their challenges at the dock and achieve a sense of belonging, overcoming adversity and prevailing.
